Session 1: What’s Your Frontline?

Session Description: This session focuses on building strong relationships within the cohort through team-building activities and small group discussions, fostering trust and camaraderie. Participants will also receive a program overview, discuss expectations and goals, and complete a survey to assess their knowledge of core concepts. In the second half, a guest speaker will address local environmental justice and climate challenges, followed by a discussion or activity. The session will conclude with participants documenting their personal goals for the program.


Session Objectives:

  1. Participants connect with cohort

  2. Participants have clear understanding of program logistics and expectations including final deliverables

  3. Participants feel connected with content & excited for the program

  4. Participants reflect on EJ in their own community

  5. Participants identify their roles and interests in climate advocacy
